Now, let's get to the really good stuff!  The 'Over Flow' room upstairs is the perfect spot where you can host your next event! As you walk up the stairs, you are greeted by a gorgeous, antique bar where guests can receive either beer or wine throughout the event. As you go further into the room, you are welcomed by a large barn table and an attention-grabbing TV—for access to a slideshow, video, or the posting of a monogram. In addition, there is seating at plenty of small tables with  dazzling decor.  The connecting room has quaint sitting areas as well as pineapple wallpaper that welcomes and invites—we all know pineapples are a sign of hospitality! The rooms are appointed and decorated perfectly down to the tiniest of detail, and you won’t  need any  extra decor to spruce it up because is already stunning! The enchantment doesn't stop there, because you also have access to the balcony area. On the balcony, guests are able to enjoy some fresh air while looking out onto the Broad Ripple scene.

Just Pop In! has an onsite kitchen, so you don't have to worry about you and your guests going hungry! Their staff is there to make sure you have food throughout the event and the drinks keep being poured!

The owners, Mandy & Carly, brought this stunning California Farm House to life; they created the perfect setting by coordinating wallpaper, decor, and furniture, and then they added the ideal balance of service by mixing in drinks, small plates, food and an attentive staff to create just the right setting for your next event. So, the next time you are looking to host your small celebration contact Mary ( mary@justpopinonline.com );  you and your guests won't be disappointed!

Thank You Cards

The other day I was meeting with a Bride, and she sits down and says, “I need to vent.”

"Why do people not write Thank You's anymore, is that a new trend or something?"

I was completely thrown off by the this comment. I, like most people, always enjoy some happy mail mixed in with the boring mail, and, as weird as it sounds, I enjoy writing them as well. (Of course, that may have to do with my mother making me sit down the day after I received any gift whatsoever and write one.. so, may be it’s a good habit now.)

As the bride vented on how she hasn’t received one ‘Thank You’ note from any of the showers or weddings she has attended in the past six months, and if there was a ‘Thank you,’ it was an email out to everyone… what’s next a Facebook post?

After giving her time to vent,  I asked, “ So, how are you going to make sure you don’t fall into this same category with your other friends?” She proceeded to tell me her plan for when she and her fiancé would write out ‘Thank You’ notes after each shower, and then after the wedding, they planned to take turns and split the list between the two of them.

I get it.  Life gets busy during the preparation of the wedding and all the pre parties. Then, after the wedding you go on your honeymoon, and the last thing you want to do is come home and go straight to writing Thank You cards; therefore, they get pushed off further and further.  Keep in mind, it’s never too late to write a ‘Thank you.’

Here are THREE Ways to make sure you can get your ‘Thank You cards’ out!

  1. Order Thank You cards in advance, something you like and are excited about using. (  Check out - Noteworthy Expressions )

  2. During your showers/parties, make sure you have someone sitting there writing out what the present is and who it is from. This way, later when you want to start on those ‘Thank you’ notes, you don’t have to go searching for the card or present when you start writing out your cards.

  3. Split the list with your significant other, and maybe even make it a competition to see who can finish first!

What To Get Your Guests For Favors?

When it comes to your guests, you have to decide whether or not you are going to give them a little gift as a favor/thank you for coming to your special day. Don't get me wrong. If little gifts aren't your thing, then no worries, as there is no written rule that says you have to get favors for your wedding guests. But, if you ARE wanting to give a little something, here are a few ideas to help you brainstorm.

1. A Candle: You can't go wrong with getting a good smelling candle that is personalized with the date and name on them. Everyone loves candles, except for those suffering from Pyropeobia (someone scared of fire), but overall, most guests would appreciate a nice candle they can use.

2. Bottle Opener:  It should not be just your regular bottle opener, but you can find some that are unique and stylish, like this one you can get from Amazon.com! Not only does it look like an awesome vintage key, but it also works as a bottle opener. You can also take it one step further and make it tie in with your love of something along the lines of, ' Key to my heart and the key to my beer'. You can just have a a lot of fun with this one and open a beer at the same time!

3. Dessert Container: Some people may be so full from your delicious meal that they may not be ready for dessert. A take home container allows your guests to be able to take a sweet treat home with them for a later time.

4. A Glass: Instead of a guest trying to figure out which glass is theirs they will always know by his or her personal glass. This also saves money and the environment by not having to use a million plastic cups throughout the night.

5. Wine Stopper: Who wouldn't want to take home a fun wine stopper to use when they are celebrating, or just having a good old Wine Wednesday?

These are just a few ideas, and keep in mind, favors are not mandatory!
